Springs Inner City is one of Springs Church's many locations, and is located in Winnipeg's inner city.
The people in this neighbourhood largely live below the poverty line, because of this we also meet basic felt needs through provision of food. Our primary focus however, is church.
In an area plagued with hopelessness, we see a bright future. Every week we see people who have made Springs Inner City their home church. Dozens of youth are given a purpose beyond drugs, gangs and sex. Children have hope for the future, and someone to turn to when they face painful circumstances. Families have somewhere to turn for guidance and assistance when their luck runs out and their hope is gone.
We are seeing teens who came here in the past are now adults and they are returning to church and bringing their kids, Kids who came in the past are becoming teens and now volunteer with us, families that come are developing an understanding of who God is and how He can be an active part of their lives.
Interesting/little known facts:
. We are not a mission, we are a church.
. We serve a meal every Sunday after the service.
. We run programs 5-6 days a week.
. All children leave with a snack after they attend Kids Klub, sometimes this is the only 'meal' they've had that day.
