Accomplishments.

Whether the students and teachers at Springs Christian Academy are singing at Personal Care Homes, handing out lunches to those in need, raising money for those less fortunate, or pitching in to help local residents with sandbagging, they are making a difference and leading others closer to God. Some of our recent accomplishments are:

Teaching with Excellence:

Exciting news! Kim Fuller, one of our talented SCA teachers, recently received the Teaching with Excellence in the Early Years award from the province of Manitoba. After being selected from a record number of candidates, Kim was presented this prestigious award by Education Minister Nancy Allan at a special awards ceremony at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

This year’s nomination criteria required teachers to show excellence in a global perspective, and Kim has had a tremendous impact on her students in this capacity.

Exploravision Regional Winners:

In 2011 - 2012 school year, Haley, Emma & Keirra (Mrs. MacLeod’s Gr. 3 students) received commendable acclamation from the National Science Teachers Association with their Exploravision project entry, and were acknowledged as Regional Winners (selected from 4900 projects entries)!  For the final competition round, they worked with Mrs. Fournier & Mr. Vic O’Neail (Atomic Design) to create a website for their “Fascinating Toothbrush Sensor”.  Special thanks to Vic for his expertise and assistance through this process!  The girls were featured in the Lance & the Herald, the Winnipeg Free Press web version, as well as CityTV’s Breakfast Television program!  Congratulations, Girls; we are so proud of your incredible accomplishment!
