DESCRIPTION:It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Friesen\, aged 70\, at St. Boniface Hospital\, Winnipeg\, MB.\, on Saturday\, June 13\, 2026. \nShirley was born on Oct 28\, 1955\, in Mexico to Ben and Elma Kornelsen. She was the second of twelve children. She spent the first few years of her life in Mexico before moving to Belize. \nShirley met the love of her life\, Daniel Friesen and they married August 4\, 1974\, in Spanish Lookout in Belize. Daniel & Shirley built a beautiful life together raising eight children; Myrna\, Allan\, Ronald\, Henry\, Roy\, Luella\, Sylvia\, and Nelson. \nDaniel & Shirley lived in Belize for the first 20 years of their marriage\, after which they moved to Canada. They eventually settled in Steinbach\, MB\, then Blumenort\, after Daniel’s passing. Over the years Shirley was a help mate to Daniel. Cooking\, baking\, canning\, sewing\, taking care of the family\, and help manage apartment buildings. She loved all things family. It was her greatest joy. Spending quality time with Daniel\, their children\, grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren. Playing games also brought much delight into her life. \nShe is survived by her amazing eight children\, Myrna (John)\, Allan (Chantelle)\, Ronald (Hannah)\, Henry (Crystal)\, Roy (Sonia)\, Luella\, Sylvia (Dallas)\, and Nelson (Meghan)\, twenty-two grandchildren (one on the way)\, and two great grandchildren. \nShirley was predeceased by her loving Husband Daniel\, her parents\, step-father\, and three siblings. \nShe will be greatly missed. \nThe viewing will be held on Sunday\, June 21\, 2026\, at 7:00 p.m.\, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel\, Steinbach\, MB. \nThe funeral service will be held on Monday\, June 22\, 2026\, at 2:00 p.m.\, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel\, Steinbach\, MB\, with viewing prior to the service. DESCRIPTION:AGATHA SIEMENS \n(nee KEHLER) \nJanuary 18\, 1933 – July 14\, 2026 \n\nIt’s with deep sadness we announce the passing of Agatha on July 14 at Betel Home in Selkirk at the age of 93. \nShe is predeceased by her husband Dave\, sons Gordon and Gerald\, stepson Randall\, stepdaughter Sandra\, granddaughter Paige\, daughter-in-law Annette and her parents and sister Martha. Agatha is survived by her brothers Frank Kehler (Carol)\, John Kehler (Aline) and her children Alma\, Wes (Bev)\, Luella (Roy) and stepchildren Lorraine\, Orla (Cliff)\, Terry\, numerous grandchildren\, great-grandchildren\, nieces and nephews. \nFuneral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday\, July 20 at Springs \nChurch\, 725 Lagimodiere Blvd.\, Winnipeg. Pastor Trevor Freake will officiate.

DESCRIPTION:CARL GLENN ASHAM \nOctober 7\, 1961 – July 16\, 2026 \n\nIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Asham\, known to many as Glenn\, who left us peacefully on July 16\, 2026\, in Winnipeg\, Manitoba\, at the age of 64. \nBorn in Winnipeg on October 7\, 1961\, Glenn was a dedicated family man whose life was built around the people he loved and the faith he held dear. His family and his church were the two most important pillars of his life. He cherished every moment spent in the company of those he cared about. \nHe was deeply passionate about his faith and loved his church community at Springs Church in Winnipeg\, where he found great joy\, comfort\, and purpose. Outside of his devotion to faith and family\, he was an avid snowmobiler who looked forward to hitting the winter trails\, took great pride in caring for his car\, and was a passionate fan of the Winnipeg Jets. \nHe is survived by his spouse\, Annie; his children\, Mitch (Brianna)\, Dustin D.\, Michelle (Sebastian)\, and Dustin A. (Cassie); and his cherished grandchildren\, Sadren\, Arabella\, Sophia\, Elias\, and Charlotte. He also leaves behind his loving parents\, Helen and Douglas; and his two siblings\, Ryan and Tracey (Barry); along with many extended family members and close friends. \nA Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday\, July 24\, 2026\, at 10:30 a.m. at the 725 Lagimodiere Blvd. location of Springs Church. Pastor Dan Johnston officiating. \nIn lieu of flowers\, for those who wish to honour his memory\, the family would deeply appreciate donations made to Springs Christian Academy\, a cause very close to his heart.
