DONALD GLEN OLMSTEAD
Donald Glen Olmstead, 71, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026. Born April 8, 1955, in Minnedosa, Manitoba, Don was the son of the late Glen and Marjorie Olmstead. Don is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Jeanette, with granddaughters, Skyla and Jayla, and Amanda, with granddaughters, Kiera and Gemma; sisters, Adele Lane (Dan), Elaine Price (Gerry), and Gail Rodger (Don); and many nieces and nephews.
Don began his career with CP Rail in 1976 and retired in 2011 after 35 years of service. Don met Linda while working at Fairview Nursing Home in Brandon, and they married in 1977. Together, they lived and raised their family in Rivers, Brandon, and Winnipeg. Don will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generosity, soft heart, and love for his family!
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 16, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg.
